Our Vision

Effective leaders are willing to suspend blame in favor of achieving results, and they know how to keep relationships intact while giving and receiving productive feedback non-defensively. At CKM Consulting, we develop these kinds of leaders. They easily initiate open dialogues and are willing to work in partnership with others. Like great sports coaches, they are able to be decisive and build trust in their work relationships.

We develop these leadership skills in all kinds of employees. These are individuals in an organization who will take initiative and use their personal authority to influence change. They may be hourly or salaried employees, or they may hold a designated leadership position in the union or on the management team.

Developing the personal capacity for leadership includes learning about one's self and one's patterns of behavior. Development of the "self" is a fundamental component of what CKM Consulting offers leaders. Emotional intelligence (self-awareness, the ability to make choices, be decisive and be empathetic toward others) is a hallmark of our work.
